About SONDER
We’re SONDER Film Music — Sandra Stadler and Bänz Isler. We’ve been writing together since 2012 and opened our studio in Bern in 2016. We score narrative films, documentaries, animation and commercials.
Every project starts with the question: what defines this film — and how does the music follow from that?
The answer shapes everything: instrumentation, texture, and sometimes turning a sound from the film itself into part of the score. Each project calls for its own musical language.
Our work draws on backgrounds in classical, jazz, pop and electronic music.
Sandra Stadler — Composer · Pianist
Sandra is a composer and pianist, trained in piano, composition, and film scoring at the Zurich University of the Arts. Beyond film music, she composes concert music for diverse ensembles and works as a pianist, singer and songwriter.
Bänz Isler — Composer · Guitarist
Bänz is a composer and guitarist, trained in music and media art at the Bern University of the Arts and in film scoring at the Zurich University of the Arts. Beyond film music, he works as a guitarist, songwriter and sound designer.
